Gaffy and Hammock work well together

Hammock is landlord accounting software that files Making Tax Digital quarterly updates and tracks rent through bank feeds, from £8 + VAT a month for 1 to 3 properties [1]. Its pricing page doesn't list a tenant repair channel [1]. Gaffy covers that side: a repair link for tenants, a maintenance inbox and certificate expiry reminders, for £12 a month for up to 5 properties. Gaffy is not VAT registered. For 3 properties, Hammock's listed £8 plus Gaffy's £12 is £20 a month.

Why it matters now

From 6 April 2026, landlords and sole traders with qualifying income over £50,000 must use MTD-compatible software, and from 6 April 2027 the threshold drops to £30,000 [2]. Gaffy isn't MTD software, so pair it with one that is.
